TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform this new, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
Regulation
Now, the thing that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
